Any JPEG or HEIC photo with embedded GPS coordinates will work. Most smartphone cameras save location data automatically when location services are enabled.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Trailmap processes everything locally in your browser. Your photos never leave your device.

Why do my photos say No GPS data found?

This usually means location tagging is turned off on your phone camera, or the photos were downloaded from a cloud service that strips GPS metadata.

Does Trailmap work on mobile?

Yes. Trailmap is fully responsive and works on phones, tablets, and desktops.
